Full Description of Event and Marketing Plan
Have you ever wanted to compete in the American Gladiators Events? Have you ever wanted to test your mettle against your friends and classmates? Maybe knock somebody down a peg or two? Have you ever justwanted to have a great time hanging out with great people? If you answered yes to any or all of these questions, come on down to Hubbard Park during the 2008 University of Iowa Week of Welcome where the fields will be transformed into a battle arena where the true grit of the University of Iowa Students will be revealed in events like:
Joust - Where two contestants try to knock each other off pedestals with padded sticks
Assault - Where one contestant will run an obstacle course while another shoots paintballs at them.
Powerball – The ultimate combination of football and basketball, where one team of contestants tries to put nerf balls into cylinders while the other opposses them like linebackers trying to stop them by any means necessary.
Eliminator – An obstacle course that will test the fortitude of any who tries to run it

Have you explored insurance issues since this would be a University sponsored event?

I can’t believe that University of Iowa has enough liability insurance to cover anything like this. And yet, I find myself hoping against hope that it does.

I think this would be a great idea! It would bring the student population together and it’s a fun way to welcome new students.
